Mark Sebuliba

a Ugandan lieutenant, Stephen Mutango, took refuge in Nairobi with a Convincing account of the destruction meted out to the Ugandan National Theatre's stalwarts. A military tribunal tried in secret, and sentenced to death on July 23, Mark Sebuliba, an under secretary in Amin's Ministry of Culture, John Male and Dan Kintu. Male's crime was to have written a play en ; titled TheOffice is Empty.
Sebuliba offended Amin by attending the play's first night., while Dan Kintu was director of the National , Theatre — since the kidnapping and murder early in 1977 of the previous director, Byron Kawadwa. In accordance with usual ptactice, the bodies were meant to be disposed of in the Nile. However, Lieutenant Mutengo finally agreed instead to hand over the three corpses to kinspeople.
